With the release earlier today of the latest firmware for the N900 (PR1.1) it is now possible to use 3UK SIM cards with the phone. This has been one of the hot topics around the N900 and has been on the high priority fix list for Nokia.



Gerrymoth reported the news that the change log for the new firmware fixed the problem, the news was excitedly passed on by EricSeale.

ā€œN900 Firmware PR1.1 supports 3uk sims and should make mfe with google work. Let’s see if it does?ā€

Kbatic has given it a go, and is happy to report that it works:

ā€œ#n900 updated to latest firmware and now my 3uk sim works. Yay!ā€

News Iā€™m sure that benjezzy will be interested in hearing as the lack of 3UK support was the main thing stopping him from getting an N900.
