MiFi review from the Geek Blog
The latest member of the 3mobilebuzz fold to get their hands on a 3UK MiFi is Geek Computers, who’ve wasted no time in getting a review of the device posted. The analysis of the device goes from first impressions through to software, hardware as well as few tests along the way.
“My first impressions when the box arrived were this could have been a product from Apple, very clean looking well packaged and immediately you are thinking it’s a smart looking piece of equipment.”
So, on the aesthetics front MiFi does well, but to find out about the real nuts and bolts of how it fared click through. However one bit of performance information that is well worth mentioning is how the device did in the Geek Computer ‘Stress Test’,
“At not one point did it seem to struggle with the load. […] I was very impressed.”
Find out about that ‘load’ and a host of other details in the full Geek Computer review.

I was fortunate enough to have been one of the ‘bored Dads’ at the birthday party mentioned in the Geek review and I can only concur with the reviewers comments.
I was also present (albeit virtually) when the stress test was taking place and can confirm that, in spite of the myriad devices this cool bit of kit was connected to, the Geek’s Warcraft connection was solid and lag free - I must stress that this was at peak time on a Sunday and even my home network was struggling to keep me in the green.
Having used a 3mobile PAYG dongle for some months as a backup, I was already amazed the quality and consistancy of service so, for me, this device is a must have!
Even the wife was impressed;-)

Thought this was a good review of the device, a fair amount of detail. It seems to answer all the questions I had of the device.

This was a great review as i have been looking and waiting for such a device to hit the stores. I found it a delight to read as some times people reviewing can lay down to much technical jargon.
Thanks for a great read to which seems like a great product.

A neat little product that does exactly what it says in the review, I never by electronic goods before checking out some feedback and reviews from others, the clear and concise commentaries on this one really made the difference simply explaining the product and its features. A great review and a great product, I’ll defiantly be reading more reviews from you in the future! Thanks.

What a great idea for a device! I am always having problems with my dongle sticking out and this seems like it might be the perfect solution.
A great review: the perfect balance of techie-ness and accessible comments - for those who do not know all the jargon and just want to know how it the device will benefit them in their everyday life.
I look forward to reading the next one!

Exactly what I am looking for if Geek computers review is as accurate as this report suggests . I would be able to leave the 3UK MIFI in the glove box in my car so I can use my lap top when I want where I want .
Wi Fi on the go with no fuss for those of us who are not technically minded but love to use the new gadgets on the market .

I have been using the Mifi from 3 since December after an initial hicup of my sim card originally from my dongle not being compatible . Which was finally sussed out after several phone calls and delivery of replacement unit (which was then not needed). All I can say is what a fantastic bit of kit. I can now use my iPod to it’s full capacity without having to try and find a wifi to use. Also I use iPod and mifi for Skype calls the quality usually is first class. If you are toying with the idea of getting one just do it you will not regret it.
