Ant from Fresh Plastic has been experimenting with his dongle and has found being a trialist has its advantages- unlimited downloading for one. He’s been downloading plenty of videos using Miro, but wondered how he could improve his download speeds, even though he states “I’m still getting speeds comparable to what a BT landline offers in this area.”
Though he found the garden to be the ideal location for optimal download speeds, Ant found an even better solution that will be strikingly similar to anyone who has watched seminal time-travel slacker movie ‘Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’. Ant calls it ‘blu-hack’ and explains it thus: “Taking the USB modem out of the port, Blu-Tacking (‘Blu-Hack’) it to the top of the laptops screen and connecting it back up via the supplied USB extension cable”. This method gives even better speeds than sitting in the room nearest to a 3 mast apparently, good work Ant. 3mobilebuzz and Fresh Plastic take no responsibility for time traveling laptops.
