Bernie ‘topgold’ Goldbach of Inside View is discussing the 3 Skypephone after getting a look at it whilst in Dublin. Far be it from me to push forward the maverick status of the device, but Bernie believes that “just the Skype logo on the phone is enough to suggest this technology is one of the most disruptive to arrive in the telecommunications space.”

Getting to grips with the phone quickly, and powering through the features while in the centre of Dublin, Bernie can be considered impressed. Obviously, the short session is suitable for first impressions only, however he does state that he’ll be ‘bashing’ his way through the phone for the rest of November, but doubts his favourable initial thoughts will change.

One feature that does get Topgold going is the abiltiy to update Jaiku, which is an online app that is similar to altering your Facebook status, allowing updates from whenever and wherever.
