3mobilebuzz has learnt that a new video clip has been posted on the BBC News Player, featuring the 3 Skypephone making its debut on Newsnight. Focusing on the fact that 3 are offering free calls to anywhere, the 5 minute feature contains interviews from Micheal van Swaaji, CEO of Skype, Kevin Russell, CEO of 3, Professor Peter Cochran, a Futurologist, and Ajit Jaokar, CEO of Futuretext.

Ajit Jaokar mentions the interview in his own blog, and goes into great detail about the 3 Skypephone and the launch event, praising the unified address book “as the holy grail which Operators will aspire to get to”.

Meanwhile, Professor Cochran talks about “how consumers are now on the front foot with regards to mobile technology, with generation X dragging the whole industry forwards and creating a new paradigm”.
